The fine print, in plain words

Minor updates
Minor updates are small changes like text edits, swapping in images you supply, or updating your hours.
Not included in plan time
New pages, redesigns, custom features, extensive copywriting and substantial integrations are quoted separately and do not use plan time.
Unused time
Unused update time does not roll over to the next month unless your agreement says otherwise.
Platform and hosting
Monitoring, backups, updates, security coverage and hosting support depend on the platform and hosting your site uses. Hosting is not included in these plans.
Response times
Response times are agreed with each client. No fixed service levels are advertised here.
No plan is bulletproof
Maintenance lowers risk. It cannot guarantee a site will never be hacked, go down, or lose data, and no honest provider can.

Maintenance questions

No. Maintenance is optional. Plenty of clients launch their site and come back only when they need something.

Your site keeps running on whatever hosting it uses. Updates, monitoring and content changes become your responsibility, and you can still hire me for individual changes when you need them.

Work beyond a plan’s monthly update time, or outside its scope, is quoted before it starts. You approve the cost first.
